Outlook 2007 Cannot Send or Receive E-mail
MS Outlook 2007 is a popular tool for managing e-mails. Individuals and businesses rely on Outlook 2007 to ensure they are able to send and receive e-mails in real time. When users are unable to complete their e-mail tasks because of an application error, they are quick to look for a solution. In most cases, Outlook will display an error message which can provide guidance about how to resolve the problem. When Outlook 2007 is unable to send or receive e-mails, it often shows one of the following error messages:
Unknown Error: 0×80040600 has occurred
Outlook cannot complete the task. Error Code: 0×80040119
Both of these errors are related to a damaged Outlook PST file. To restore the ability to send and receive e-mails in Outlook 2007, users should run the Scanpst.exe utility. The utility will scan he PST file and repair any damage it finds. The Scanpst.exe tool can be found in:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033
If the Scanpst.exe utility is unable to complete the repairs, a third party Outlook PST Repair application should be utilized.
